The number of deals involving European TMT companies was slightly lower at 233 in January from about 250 for each of the previous three months. The rolling 3 months average value of deals fell to $11.6 billion as the effect of the October announcement of the T-Mobile/ MetroPCS deal dropped out of the analysis. Valuation multiples gave a mixed message with the price-earnings (P/E) multiple falling to 14 and the price-sales (P/S) multiple increasing to 1.5.
